African Tree of LifeIt’s the beginning of 2012 and I just returned from an amazing trip to Gambia, West Africa, where I led a group of 8 people in a multi-cultural drum, dance and safari adventure.

One evening we were sitting together by the Gambia River talking about our goals for 2012 when I looked across the savannah at the setting sun. Here’s the remarkable photo I captured of the golden sun behind a beautiful Tree.

And then it hit me – this is how I want to spend 2012 – with this deep sense of inner calm and joy I have right now gazing at this beautiful African Tree of Life!

Now as many you know, I teach the Tree of Life as a spiritual path of so I am always connecting the roots, trunk and branches with my physical, emotional and spiritual vitality.

So my African Tree inspired my goals for 2012:

  1. I want to be grounded and present to all that life brings (Roots)
  2. I want to be strong, confident and soulful (Trunk)
  3. I want to be joy-filled and open to Spirit (Branches)

Join me in setting positive, life-giving goals for 2012. Stay grounded and present because this will be a year of powerful transformations. Stand strong and respond to life in a soulful way. Open your heart to spirit and stay connected with joy.

As you nurture your inner Tree of Life remember to stay connected to your spiritual companions.

Life is going to be very interesting this year and we need to stay connected in support and love.
